Guide — the 2004 webcam lip-sync, as a looping cartoon
A cartoon headphone-wearing singer on a grainy fake webcam, with four scenes, on-screen sing-along captions, adjustable dance energy and pixelation. Silent, drawn on an HTML5 canvas, nothing to install.Choose Classic, Karaoke, VHS or Rave, or press 1 to 4. The dance carries on without restarting.
Drag Dance Energy from 1 (Sleepy) to 10 (MAXIMUM). Higher settings make the bopping faster and the arm waves bigger; the default is 6, Hyped.
Drag Webcam Grain from 0 (Crisp) to 10 (Dial-up). It lowers the resolution the scene is drawn at and adds more noise specks; the default is 5, labelled 2004.
Toggle the Karaoke lyrics captions, which change every 1.15 seconds, the REC / webcam HUD with its blinking dot and running timer, and the Scanlines.
Press Enter Fullscreen, click the webcam or press F. Space pauses, R resets, and Esc or the Exit Fullscreen button (move the mouse to show it) leaves.

Numa Numa, explained
What is Numa Numa?
“Numa Numa” is a 2004 viral webcam video by Gary Brolsma, who filmed himself at his desk with headphones on, enthusiastically lip-syncing and waving his arms to “Dragostea Din Tei”, the Romanian-language hit by the Moldovan pop group O-Zone. Posted on Newgrounds as the “Numa Numa Dance”, it became one of the first webcam videos to go massively viral and helped define early internet video culture. This page is an animated tribute to it.
Is this the original video?
No. This is a cartoon tribute drawn with JavaScript on an HTML5 canvas: a generic headphone-wearing character, not Gary Brolsma, on a fake early-2000s webcam with a REC light, a timer and a “CAM 01 640x480” label. It contains none of the original video or song, and there is nothing to download or install.
Does it play the song?
No. The page plays no sound at all, so O-Zone’s track is not included. With Karaoke lyrics on, six short sing-along lines from the chorus cycle on screen every 1.15 seconds, pulsing to the dance beat; the Karaoke scene shows them large in the centre with a bouncing ball. Play the song yourself if you want the full experience.
How do I make it fullscreen?
Click the webcam, press Enter Fullscreen or press F. Move the mouse to show the Exit Fullscreen button, which hides again 2.5 seconds after the mouse stops, or press Esc or F to leave. Where a browser blocks the fullscreen API, the webcam fills the browser window instead. The page does not keep the display awake, so set your screen’s sleep timer to Never if it should keep running.
What can I customise?
Switch between the Classic, Karaoke, VHS and Rave scenes, set the Dance Energy (1 to 10) and the Webcam Grain (0 to 10), and toggle the lyrics captions, the REC / webcam HUD and the scanlines. Reset Defaults (or R) returns to Classic, energy 6 and grain 5 with every overlay on.
