Four presets, four colour modes and sliders for shapes, points, speed, trail length, line width and colour cycling. Drawn on an HTML5 canvas, nothing to install.Choose Classic, Neon, Minimal or Chaos, or press 1 to 4. A preset sets every slider and the colour mode in one go and starts fresh shapes.
Rainbow cycles through the spectrum, Neon adds a glow, Ice stays in cyan and blue, and Fixed uses one colour from the picker. With several shapes, each one starts at a different hue.
Set Shapes from 1 to 6 and Points per shape from 3 to 8. Shuffle Shapes or N scatters new polygons with random corners and directions.
Drag Speed (1 to 10), Trail (5 to 60 fading copies), Line width (1 to 6) and Hue speed (0 to 10; at 0 the colours stop shifting).
Press Enter Fullscreen, click the animation or press F. Move the mouse to show Exit Fullscreen and Pause; Space pauses, R resets, Esc leaves.

The Mystify screensaver, explained
What is the Mystify screensaver?
Mystify is one of the original Windows screensavers. It shipped with Windows 3.1, appeared as Mystify Your Mind in Windows 95 and 98, and later versions of Windows still include a Mystify screensaver. Polygons bounce around a black screen with each corner moving on its own, and every shape leaves a trail of fading, colour-shifting copies that weave into ribbon patterns. This page recreates the effect on an HTML5 canvas with adjustable shapes, trails and colours.
Is this the real Windows Mystify screensaver?
No. It is an original browser recreation inspired by the Windows Mystify screensaver: bouncing polygons with fading coloured trails. It is not affiliated with Microsoft and uses none of its code. Because it runs in the browser, you can use it on any current device without the old software, and push it further than the original with up to 6 shapes of up to 8 points.
How do I run this fullscreen as a screensaver?
Click the animation, press Enter Fullscreen in the sidebar or press F. The canvas is redrawn at the full size of your screen with fresh polygons. Move the mouse to show the Exit Fullscreen and Pause buttons, which hide again 2.5 seconds after the mouse stops, or press Esc. Where a browser blocks the fullscreen API, the animation fills the browser window instead. The page does not keep the display awake, so set your screen’s sleep timer to Never if it should keep running.
Do I need to download or install anything?
No. The animation is plain JavaScript on an HTML5 canvas, so there is nothing to download or install. It works in any current browser on Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS and Android.
Can I change the colors and number of shapes?
Yes. Choose a Rainbow cycle, a glowing Neon look, an icy blue palette or one Fixed colour of your own, and set the number of Shapes (1 to 6), Points per shape (3 to 8), Speed, Trail length (5 to 60), Line width and Hue speed. The Chaos preset runs five fast six-point polygons at once.
