FAQ — Fireplace Screensaver
What is the fireplace screensaver?
The fireplace screensaver turns your screen into a cozy virtual fireplace: crackling flames rise from burning logs, glowing embers float upward and the whole scene flickers with warm light. It is the digital version of the classic Yule log fireplace videos people put on their TVs. This version is fully animated in your browser using HTML5 Canvas, so it never loops and needs nothing installed.
Can I put this fireplace on my TV?
Yes. Open this page on a smart TV browser, or cast or plug in a laptop, then press Enter Fullscreen. The fire fills the whole screen and makes a warm ambient display for living rooms, parties or the holidays. There is nothing to install and it works on any modern browser.
How do I run this fullscreen as a screensaver?
Click the fire or press Enter Fullscreen in the sidebar. The flames will fill your entire screen. Move your mouse to reveal the exit button, or press Escape to return to normal view. You can also press F to toggle fullscreen at any time.
Does it have sound?
This version is silent so it is safe to leave running anywhere, including offices and bedrooms. You can play your own crackling-fire audio track alongside it if you want the full effect. The flames, embers and flicker are all generated live.
Can I change how the fire looks?
Yes. Use the sliders for flame Intensity, Height, Embers, Spread and Glow, and switch between Classic, Cozy, Inferno and Blue Flame modes. You can also recolor the flames warm, blue, emerald or violet.
Is this fireplace screensaver free?
Yes, completely free. No account, no ads, no watermark. It is one of 122 free browser-based tools at jasperbernaers.com.
