FAQ
How do I use the Excel template?
Download the Excel template, fill in your project details on the Setup sheet, add your trade categories and budgets on the Categories sheet, and log each invoice on the Invoices sheet. Then import the file here and the tracker will visualise everything automatically.
Can I add my own trade categories?
Yes. In the Categories sheet of the Excel file, simply add a new row with your category name and budget. You can also add categories directly in the tracker using the sidebar form. The import will pick up any categories defined in your file.
Is my data stored anywhere?
No. All processing happens entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Nothing is sent to any server. Your construction data stays on your device.
What happens if a trade goes over budget?
Over-budget categories are highlighted in red in the progress bars and counted in the summary stat card at the top. The tracker shows you exactly how much over budget each trade is.
Can I export my data back to Excel?
Yes. After making changes in the tracker, click Export to Excel in the sidebar to download an updated .xlsx file with all your categories and invoices in the same template format.
What currencies are supported?
The tracker defaults to EUR (€) but you can switch to USD ($), GBP (£), or CHF in the project setup sidebar. The currency symbol is cosmetic — change it to match your project.
