Guide — a polished screenshot in five clicks

Window frame, gradient background, padding, rounded corners and shadow. Export PNG or JPEG, in your browser.
1Add a screenshot

Drop an image on the drop zone, click to choose one, or paste a screenshot from the clipboard with Ctrl+V.

2Start from a template

Pick one of 17 templates on the Social, Device or Present tab. It sets padding, corners, shadow, background, frame and export format, and scales the screenshot down to fit the template size. Star a template to keep it on the ★ tab.

3Frame and background

Choose macOS Chrome, Windows Chrome or None as window style, then one of six gradients or a solid colour.

4Fine-tune

Set padding (0–200 px, or per side when Uniform is off), border radius 0–32 px, shadow blur, spread, X/Y offset, colour and opacity, and scale 25–200%.

5Export

Choose PNG or JPEG (quality 10–100%) and press Export to download screenshot-beautified.png or .jpg. New Image starts again.

Beautiful screenshots, explained

What is this screenshot beautifier?

A free browser-based tool that adds browser chrome frames, gradient backgrounds, shadows, padding and rounded corners to your screenshots. Similar to Screely or Shots.so but runs entirely in your browser with zero uploads.

Does it upload my screenshots?

No. Everything runs 100% client-side in your browser using the Canvas API. Your images never leave your device.

What export formats are supported?

You can export as PNG (lossless) or JPEG with an adjustable quality slider from 10% to 100%.

Can I add a macOS-style window frame?

Yes. Choose between macOS Chrome (traffic light dots with title bar), Windows Chrome (minimize/maximize/close buttons), or no frame at all.

What background options are available?

Choose from six gradient presets (purple-pink, blue-teal, orange-red, green-cyan, dark, sunset) or a solid color background with a color picker.

How do I use template presets?

Load a screenshot first, then click any template card in the Template Presets section. There are 17 templates on three tabs: Social (X/Twitter post and header, Instagram post and story, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube thumbnail), Device sizes (iPhone 15 Pro, iPad Pro, MacBook Pro, Android phone, desktop browser) and Present (16:9 and 4:3 slides, wide banner, thumbnail, portfolio). Each template sets the padding, corner radius, shadow, background, window style and export format for that use.

Can I save my favorite templates?

Yes! Click the ★ icon on any template card to add it to your favorites. Access your favorites by clicking the ★ tab in the template selector. Favorites are saved in your browser's local storage.

Do templates automatically resize my screenshot?

Partly. A template lowers the Scale so your screenshot fits within the template's width and height while keeping its aspect ratio; it never scales up. The exported image is the scaled screenshot plus padding and frame, so it is not cropped or padded to the exact template size. You can still change the Scale slider afterwards.
